o.i studio
o.i studio is my personal brand. The initials O.I stand for my first name, Omar, and my middle name, Ibrahim. In Arabic cultures, names are patrilineal, meaning you use your given name followed by your father's name, your grandfather's name, and lastly your family name. Growing up in Egypt, I was known as Omar Ibrahim.
The (i) in my branding also represents "eye," as in an "eye for design." The (o) is prominently featured in my main logo, and throughout other branding materials, I incorporate the concept of an eye within the negative space of the (o). The illustrations and animations I created demonstrate the full vision and iterations of the o+eye in play.
Business Card
The business card below is a proven to work concept using the scanimation technique. This was a very precise process that required lots of calculations, attention to detail & patience to make it work. The card also has a meticulous cut out which displays the “eye” through the "O," appearing to be in motion.
Font
I created the font below based on my logo, sharing the same ear, hairline and serif features, I intend to create posters using every letter in the future.
